Downloaded instructions for the Nescaf filter page 3, audio amplifier stage, check box 3
says C9(tantalum cap)positive lead side CLOSEST to IC1 as per pcb silk screen. However, footnote on bottom of page says connect test probe to positive lead of C9 FARTHEST away from IC1.Is check box 3 instuctions and silk screen correct and footnote maybe a misprint? Please advise as I am a little confused about this.    Thanks   JIM

From the schematic it is obvious that the footnote is incorrect. You even should not cut the positive lead so you can use it as a test terminal. Actually you would not even need an audio generator. Just touching the lead with a finger should let you hear a hum in the speaker.
Have fun.

I used an old serial two way connector box, and also dropped in a k1el keyer in the same box.  Great kit, works fantastic

Thanks for the feedback. You might want to give the guy a hint about the discrepancy.
