Last I heard, Romeo got his reward.

I've got my card framed and on the wall in my shack--it's the only slim card I've ever gotten.

I keep my P5RS7 card along with my KJ6DO/KH7S card from Sep 1982.  WFWL.

Never throw a card away---I kept my 7O1YGF (Yemen) in my file even tho it was denied by the DXCC desk----AND then, much later, they decided it was approved.  I'm glad I didn't toss it.

You only have one or two?

I have:
1) P5RS7 - unauthorized operation
2) TT8OBO - non amateur license
3) YI2LVB - unauthorized operation
4) W6IL/CT1HO - handwritten
5) ZB2/G3JCL - handwritten

All filled with other QSOs/QSLs except for P5 Sad

Bob, W7ETA I think I will use your idea and frame them.
What reward did Romeo get.
If it's too nasty PM me at n8xi@juno.com

He's in jail in, I think, New York somewhere, for credit card fraud.

Yep, Brooklyn detention centre, just off the Gowanus Expressway across from Costco.

G3RZP es W2IRT Thanks for the info.

I decided to check on Romeo before your replies so I sent an Email to the P5RS7 QSL mgr Nao, JA1HGY.

But, after your replies I went hunting and found this.

Note the bottom left of the P5/R0MEO (re-rendered P5RS7 card Smiley

Basically a scam artist that got his just rewards!

It would seem that at least in 2010, he hadn't actually been tried and convicted, which seems an awful long time to wait for a trial - 7 years. Especially considering how long a sentnece he might get. I couldn't find any more up to date info about him. At one time, there were questions about his other possible connections: it may just have been coincidental that on a number of occasions, places from which he allegedly operated - maybe even did operate - had arms deals with Russia shortly after.
