A note over the HK0NA online log utility indicates that there is a major problem with some of their computer log files for pre-January 27 QSOs.  They're going to try to recover the files AFTER the DXpedition, but they suggest that you rework them if any of your prior QSOs seem to be missing from the online logs.  Sounds as though they're not optimistic, so that's probably a good idea.

Talk about a nightmare!

I had a momentary panic. I had to look.

Fortunately, all my contacts are still there.

Phew! Smiley

Talk about a nightmare!

To be clear, I meant a nightmare for the DXpedition.  They might take a bit of heat from some.

My 12 meter one is still there.

The Red Cross had there radio room open today for hams, so I spread the HK0NA bug. Some had no idea Malpelo is a nightmare to operate from.

Just a suggestion... if they had, say, uploaded to LOTW every night, a hard disk crash wouldn't get them like this.

Above stated at least a little tongue-in-cheek. Do they have DSL or FIOS on that rock yet?

(My 30M QSO disappeared but can probably re-do).

Holy shit! That really sucks. I worked them for the first time today on 3 bands 12,15,17M. Before today, I just had no chance. I suggest getting them back today.

Lost my 30m cw and 20m RTTY.

I got the 30m cw back last night.

Still have my 80m RTTY, so I don't think I'll put a lot of effort into another RTTY qso.

No worries here....all qsos intact...my most recent one (12 cw) showed up too...and I even checked for some of my local 2 meter buddies and all of their qsos are all in to.....Only 4 more band slots to go....and I fear they are going to be the most difficult of the bunch because of the insanity of the CW mayhem and I can't hear them on 10 cw pretty much at all.....

Just posted to their Clublog page:
Late news!! I just heard from the island, and they have found many of the missing logs.
They should show up in the next online log upload which I expect later today (SUNDAY). Will advise. PSE QRX!!
