 Huh

Does ANYONE have the schematic to this microphone?.
I have the Avair 508 that is identical to the MFJ-287 and want to modify the MIC, reasons being:

*The microphone has an electronic PTT lock that also activates (powers) the audio circuitry inside the mic.--so when the PTT is released--the VOX on the radio cannot function--good one China!..
*The high frequency roll off is INCREDIBLY severe--so audio sounds muffled.
*The manual claims two compressor settings--on the mic itself there is no selection for this-and I doubt very much that any processor is in fact present in the mic.
I need the schematic to confirm this.

So far the manufacturers have declined to make a schematic available--I WONDER WHY?!! Angry
This Mic. is also marketed as 'PRYME' in the UK.

I need one too. It seems prone to rf.
I want to install a standard shielded mic cord.
I hate that lock button. Thats the first thing to disable Grin!
