Assuming I can get one or more of the other local hams here to go with me and share the gas costs, I'll be attending either the Kennehoochie Hamfest in March or the Atlanta Hamfest in June. They're both in Marietta. In terms of the number of dealers and number of tailgaters in attendance the last year or two, which is likely to be the better one to attend this year?

Save your money and go to the Lawrenceville hamfest in November put on by the Alford Memorial Radio Club. Bigger than both put together.

Seriously, the Lawrenceville fest, at least the one time I've attended it, was tops.  It has more used gear and parts than anything short of Dayton.  I think it actually has more than the Orlando Hamcation does.  Kennehoochie is good, but if you are coming from a long way, the Lawrenceville is the best one in the Southeast Division for flea market stuff.

Only thing that makes it smaller than Orlando is the indoor flea market area.  We've been lobbying the Gwinnett Fairgrounds to build another building out there for years for more indoor flea market space.  Seems like all tables are sold out every year by April.  Haven't missed this hamfest for 17 years, even since moving from Atlanta to S FL.
