Note that the MC-50 mic has two output impedance's. I think one is 600 ohm, the other 50Kohms. The impedance is switched at the connector. Note on the coiled cord mic connector a small RED dot and on the mic near the connector a small RED "H" and 180 degrees from that position, and small BLACK "L".
1- To set to 600 ohms, the RED dot goes to the BLACK "L". For 50Kohms, insert the plug RED dot to RED "H". Wit the mic connected to the coiled cord, the mic switch is PTT.
2- As far as I know, if using the base/stand, connect the coiled cord connector to the base unit so that the RED marks align. Connect the short cord to the mic as above in option 1. IN this mode,, the mic switch is unused and the PTT is via the piano keys on the base unit.
