I am looking at getting the Garmin Nuvi 350 to start working on my APRS setup.  I am just wondering what TNC would work with this GPS to interface with my mobile in my car for my first ever APRS setup.

Here are some basics:

1) If you are going to connect the GPS to the TNC direct, it will need to have a serial interface (not USB).
2) If you plan to use both with an APRS client, such as UI-View32, it will need to be seen by the computer as being connected to a serial port. Some USB devices connect as a virtual serial port, some don't.

Hope that helps some... good luck.

Regardless what TNC you come up with you'll need one of these to get the needed NMEA data from the Garmin Nuvi 350.

The Argent  OT2M  will give you bi-directional message capabilities with the n-350.
You will also need the Garmin 010-10813-00 cable.
Sweet setup.
