Found a nice looking pair of Penta PL-175 tubes in my stash. These haven't been used since the late
mid 1960s (WHYN-AM) so I'd like to cook them for a bit in my SB-220. I need some idea of what the
maximum grid current for these tubes would be in GG service.

Will they fit height wise?  Like with a 4-400 in GG I would think that with the grids tied together and grounded the grid current should be higher.  SHould be about 25 watt dissaption or better.

Lou

I used short plate caps.  Bases are too wide diameter to fully seat in the chassis opening
for the SB220 recessed sockets. They did work, but the socket problem would have to
addressed if I wanted to leave them in the amp.
