Was browsing the available calls and noticed that WK1A is available (till now, anyway) The call sounds like it should be somewhat prestigious, or at the very least, well known.
Anybody have any history on this call or QSO's??
Was it important at some point or held by a well known person?

  Birth Date: 7-16-1916

sometime between between 1989 and 1992
He became a SK in 2010.
