Like you Krish I am really hoping for a RTTY contact but it is starting to look very unlikely.
I also have a G5RV as well as a sloper for 80m, so I don't expect to make an 80m QSO with them at this time of year.

Finally worked him on 30m tonite. By far the loudest I've heard him on 30. Also I was parked on 10104 waiting and worked him before he was spotted on the cluster. Boy did that make all the difference. Short window here...not to mention I've been working nights for the last week and not home at sunset.
Already the cluster crabs have shown up calling and tuning on his freq.

Good catch. That's how I got them on 20m RTTY Sunday evening. I sat listening to static and working on the computer for a half hour or so before they arrived on frequency. I didn't get them first, a couple of others did (I worked them right after a RA4 and a ZL1, the band was open every where to them it seemed) but there was only one spot (one minute) before I did. As you say, what a difference.

Sometimes you have to beat the prop. I worked him on 80m cw an hour ago when I was in half light and before a lot of the USA had propagation. I didn't expect to make an 80m contact with them. What a bonus.
Now if I can only see them on RTTY.

Got them on 17CW yesterday evening, the pileups are thinning some. They spent a few hours calling for NA on 17 last night.
Parking yourself on one of their regular freqs in a WARC band and waiting seems like a great strategy now for little pistols.

Congrats Larry... My 17 QSO isn't in the log. I was a day behind you on 17 so maybe they are missing that piece of the log or something.

I wonder how many of us are not in the log due to working "slims"? Last night I got a 30M QSO CW which was definite, but not in the log, and my 40M CW QSO is not in the log from a few days ago...unless they are having selective logging update issues, someone is fooling someone. I'm in the log for a bunch of QSO's but it's time to strike while the iron is hot.

Thanks guys - the last QSO in the on line log was 0559Z on 05/11/12.
I've had a rash of pirate QSO's lately on rare ones - which is why I'm always concerned until the log comes out. Most notable was VP8ORK. That one hurt. I don't know what kind of person does something like that, but I'm sure the people that know them probably wish they didn't. They can't be a whole lot of fun to be around. Unless your just as warped as they are.
