New Begali Expedition?

Begali has offered to sell me the new Expedition but still do not know what it is!  I guess they prefer to have it be a Dayton surprise.  So, go to Dayton and decide or wait until they have it on the website and buy with shipping from Italy.

Anyone use the new HST II key?

I have tried the original HST and was not impressed. When I attended the HST championships I solicited opinions and many were not impressed with the Begali HST. The East Europeans and Russians seem to prefer their own homebrew designs. I must admit after trying their simple keys I was very impressed.  I did not find out who made these Russian HST competition keys.

Its  a shame that Begali does not make more Single lever designs  using different designs on the the levers. I am experimenting with a new single lever design using titanium rod with carbon fibre. I am leaning towards a spring  return
rather than magnetic.  My personal view is that magnetic return is highly overrated, and I think most HST competitors will agree with  me.  A good single lever spring  return key can  out key  any iambic magnetic paddle. I have become a convert on the road to damascus,  and now exclusively use single lever paddle designs.

I am using a new bengali expedition.  I find the paddle looks as sweet as any other bengali !  It's operation is very smooth the adjustments as well as it's position on the desk stays put .  It just reeks of quality .  I was told at the booth at Dayton that it had the same mechanism  as the sculpture paddle. I only saw them in black and gray tones .    I paid $280 at Dayton

For that matter, any other specs? The name seems to be hinting at "traveller-friendly"...
(It isn't, far as I can tell, on the Begali website...)

I'm wondering if it will be an updated version of their Magnetic Traveller light?
