Do any of the readers have any suggestions as to where would be a good place to send an ALS-600 for repair.  Prefer suggestions from actual experience.  The amp is 8 or 9 years old.  I am not sure how describe the symptom other than a very high swr is present when keyed up.

However if you call me after 5:00 P.M. Florida Time , I can walk you thru the most typical fixes which are usually very simple. My number is on my website.

Did you not try Ameritron? They made it.

Just for what it is worth; I found a bad coax jumper that just could not take the 600 watts.  It was apparantly breaking down.  Installed a new coax and everything worked as it should.

Similar things just happened here.  My new rig worked for a week or so at 200W and then just stopped working properly.  I thought my antenna was acting up, then I thought it was the tuner.  Turned out to be the coax patch cord.  Brand new 3' LMR-400 patch cable with plugs PL-359 connectors already installed.
