I've got my fingers crossed. I missed the last 2 DX-peds to E4, so this would be a very welcome all time new one and get me 3 away from Honor Roll.

You know, I am starting to not feel like a newbie any more.  Seems like MOST of the upcoming stuff, Clipperton, Palestine, etc, I have already worked and confirmed.  Dang! What do I do when I work em ALL!!??
Only in my dreams Grin, I will NEVER live that long. Even at 304, they are starting to get far and few between tho. Roll Eyes  I already reached the goal of 300 which I set when I started, so from now on, its icing on the cake.   BUT........ GL to all who need these two "common" entities. hi hi 73, Gene  AF3Y

Wait till you get over 325 - talk about slooooooooow . . . . .

Yeah, tell me about it. If ZL9 happens (and assuming I work 'em) that will be two in 2011. I got two last year (Macquarie and South Sudan) and two the year before that (ZS8M and Ogasawara, plus of course the new PJs which I don't really count in the same league). Four new ones in 2009 and five in 2008. That gives you an idea of how hard it is once you hit the 300s.

Nothing I need is easy at this point: Pratas, San Felix, Tromelin, Crozet, Amsterdam/St. Paul, Kingman, Wake, Navassa, P5, Heard, South Georgia, South Sandwich, Myanmar and Auckland-Campbell. I'm hoping for Wake in the next couple of years (there's a guy stationed there but I've never heard him) but beyond that? Shudder.

Vlad is on 40CW right now. I got him with 100 watts and dipole, his fist as distinctive as ever.

Go get' em.

Glad I dont have to chase this one.  I worked E4X on 4 bands/2 modes.   PLus, the E4 might take a little of the heat off of the 6O bunch for guys needing/chasing them. GL to all who need em!  73, Gene AF3Y

Worked E40VB, Vlad last night for my #332/328 and so this "avenges" missing E4X a few years ago and then E44PM this past December. That makes 4 all time new ones this year - and now I am only 3 away from Honor Roll - my biggest DXCC goal.

With ZL9 coming up in November, I am now crossing my fingers that Kingman and Navassa are activated in the next year - hi hi.

E4VB and 6O0CW are both workable, skilled and fun, but will be mostly bandfill operations for many. I had to laugh, I was calling 6O0CW on 20 SSB last night for 45 minutes with 5 watts, not realizing it, could not work him, then got through first call with 100 watts...

I just worked E40VB on 18.100 RTTY, working split. Wow, not only was it all all time new one for me, it was especially sweet to work him on RTTY  Grin

I have been chasing E40VB on countless number of occasions without any success.  Not a peep here on any bands.  Finally 17m answered my wish today with my first ever contact to E4.  Needless to say I'm thrilled.

Big congrats to John K7KB as well.

I'm glad you got him also Jon Smiley He is still running 17M RTTY (0120Z) and his signal has increased somewhat, but so has the pileup!
