does the icom 92ad have d star capability on both 2 meters and 70 centimeters or just on one band ?

Looking at info on the Icom website, it does not mention Dstar on only one band.

If it's a D-Star radio, manufactured for D-Star, D-Star works on any band that the radio can access to transmit on.

Yes, the 92AD does D-STAR on both bands, but only one band at a time

To help clarify it a bit.  The 92AD, like many dual band HTs, can display both bands - one in the top half of the display, one in the bottom half.  D-Star will only work in the bottom band in the display.  So, think of it this way - top display: 2M/70cm FM, bottom display: 2M/70cm FM/D-Star.
