I've got a Kenwood D710 installed in my Jeep Liberty and recently picked up an FT-350R at a great price.  They both use 8 pin modular connectors on the control head cables.  Is there any reason not to use the Kenwood cable with the FT-350R?  It would save me pulliing the seat out of the Jeep and re-running the control head cable.

Pin outs the same? Then no, but if they are different then yes.  Ever heard of proprietary?

Good luck with it

Observation:

The Kenwood 710a mic cables are just ethernet. I bought cat 6 ethernet and a male to male ethernet extender and it worked like a champ. Maybe the control head is the same?
