Actually, I don't think it was that many. The thing is, this is not history, unless it's history in the making.
This real, and the threat is for millions of people dying from radiation poisoning. If Fukushima Nr. 4 continues to what may be
it's logical conclusion, we may all be history.

I would not get too worked up because of an article on a conspiracy theory website.  And hundreds of above ground nuclear tests occurred between 1945 and 1963, when the Partial Test Ban Treaty was signed.

There were (from sources I checked) 100 atmospheric tests at the Nevada test Site alone. Several more atmospheric detonations (including the first, "Trinity") were made in others of the contiguous 48 states.

After reading the original post I wonder if the other web page is so wrong after all.

I'd bet that the scientist who admit that they never even expected this event with the tuna even know what they are talking about now and I'd bet that the scientist stopped eating tuna along time ago.

Funny that this is coming out now when they mention they found this out 5 months after the event occurred.

No offense to anyone in particular...but why do so many hams have this doom and gloom mentality? Its so damned depressing to tune across the bands and listen to guys crying about how bad things are and we're all going to die due to some government conspiracy. It is almost cult like at times. "Drinkin the koolaid"  There are no winners in a doomsday scenario and I loose not sleep worrying about it or planning for it.

Just goes to show that some of the nuts that believe this stuff got into ham radio because of their other belief that they're going to need something to communicate with in case the 'extinction level event' happens.  If that event comes along, they're going to be worried about more than just ham radio--but they won't realize that until the event happens!

Reminds me of some of the humor during the cold war scares of the A-bomb being dropped on us--"The thing to do if the bomb IS dropped is sit down under a desk or table, put your head between your legs--and kiss your @$$ goodbye!"
