I was just wondering how many other people out there got fed up with the BS within the 3905 Century Club and left. It seems that a some have those rose color glasses on and seem to think that it is only a couple of people.

Find the big knob on the front of your radio. Turn it. Problem solved.

I have changed the dial to 7.185 and 3.942. I have not checked into the CCN nets in 7 months and will not check in again until things change. The problem is the club is moving in a negative (my opionion) direction. I have noticed many CCN members who no longer check in are showing up in other places. Just wanted to see if the current BOD sees this also.

Not had time to check in for awhile.
Negative direction? Just what is bothering you? Is there a problem with PSK, CW, SSB? 40 meters? 75 meters?
Are the net controls doing a good job?
Are awards to easy? To tough?
The Club seems to have done well.
Seems to be Lots of check in's with lots of hams working on awards.
If you give some instances or specifics, I am sure the members will handle the problem.
Enjoy the bands and have fun!

Out of idle curiosity, exactly what nonsense are you referring to?

I began to get disillusioned with the group when I started having difficulties with one particular net QSL manager.  The last time I tried to check into a net, and granted this was about 7 - 8 years ago, that manager started kvetching on the air, so I just checked out and went on my merry way.  Not worth the aggravation.

Give up on the pursuit of phony awards and just have rag chews...Believe me, you'll enjoy ham radio much more.  Why knock your heads together trying to check into organized and directed wait time nets that have no real excitement....unless you are just a boring person to begin with and that is what you want to do.  I guess not all hams are true conversationalists.

I agree with N3WD, have not been on the nets since October and real tired of the BS. One good thing that has happened is that the current president has stepped down which is a very good thing. Perhaps the club can  not focus on it's roots which is "making contacts and exchanging QSL cards".
