I have an old J-38 straight key from the 50's.  Most of the key is "brownish" rusty looking.  I tried to send with it however the contacts must be corroded also and it will make an intermittment contact.

I would like to restore the key, as I started with it in 1958 as a novice.  Is there an article or information that will be of help.  Your input will be appreciated.  I am getting active again in cw and would like to use it for slower speed contacts.

Thanks
Jerry

For cleaning J-38 key, check out K6IX's page at:

Good Luck!
