KB3LiIX, yes, I heard some W7 and some W6 from So Cal get thru just around 0030 UTC. Our opening in N. Calif was just starting when they went QRT. I'm confident that we will get our chance.

When he came back he was considerably weaker  and down about 200Hz, so I'm hoping I didn't work a slim.

Log is up Peter. They way they started and stopped, I wasn't sure either.

I just ran a VOA-CAP prediction from here to Comoros.
I might as well just take a nap instead of chasing them.

Really? They were not that hard to work (20 minutes calling) on 15m CW around 0030Z near Washington DC (in the log). I'm glad I did not check VOA-CAP.

Well, I am probably going to catch some flak from you experts/prop-gurus who hang out here.  I have lost any little faith that I ever had in HAMCAP, VOACAP, etc Roll Eyes.  I have made QSOs when the prop sucked, according to the charts/maps and vice-versa.  I still say the BEST prop tool is spinning the dial and hearing what is active and/or scanning the clusters to see WHO is spotting WHO from where.
I am positively NOT an expert, and do most of my "seat of the pants" DXing as noted above. Works for me...... 73, Gene AF3Y Cool

What did VOACAP show for last evening, when 15m was wide open to most of NA
I rate these prediction tools as snake oil.  Nothing works better than spinning the dial and listening to hear WHO is active from WHERE.  And.... scanning the DX clusters to see WHO is being spotted by WHO. Talk about REAL-TIME. 73, Gene AF3Y

Not a peep this far north in NJ on 10 or 12m this morning, despite many spots on the cluster from points further south.

Oh NO! Not another "Glorioso" I hope Roll Eyes.  They were quite loud on 12 m this morning. I could not hear them on 10 good enough to put in a call.  My one 15m CW contact is in the log, and I feel good about the Spratly QSO as well.  I am going to concentrate more on D64K, as I believe Spratly is much more likely to be activated again before Comoros. Yeah, so far Comoros is a bust on this end. Just one Q on 15 CW. They're building now on 15 SSB and I'll get 'em later on. Just another greenie for me. I need 10, 12, 80, 160 and RTTY but so far nothing heard anywhere I need it. Then again, it's high summer. You'd think an operation from as rare a place as D6 would take place around an equinox.

On their web site and other posts, gear is lost/miss placed. Only one station up.
They hope to get the problem resolved soon.

And I have not heard them.

73 Tony N5UD

I saw a spot that you worked them on mobile.  Good job.  I cannot hear a peep on 12m here in CO  Sad

73,
Jonathan W6GX

He tried, but he couldn't do it.......on 12M. I did get a good mobile QSO on 15M SSB.

Now if I can only punch through on 40M CW for an overall new one on 40M. All the while only having a mobile setup these days. Lots of luck.

They may not have been hard to work with YOUR setup,
but I can barely hear them. Even yesterday, they were nothing but a whisper
on 15m. That didn't stop me from trying though.

Today, there was NOTHING on 10, same with 12m.
Now, at almost 6:30 eastern time, with them spotted on 15, 17, 20 & 30
the only one I can hear is an S0 signal on 20m cw.

I use VOA-CAP as an INDICATION of what may work,
it is not and is NOT designed as a cast-in-stone
GUARANTEED prediction.
