Hello,

I need to replace the battery for Yaesu FT60R .....

The factory battery is a 7.2v 1400 mAh .....

I find there are batteries available from 1100 to 2000 mAh ...

Can anyone reccommend a replacement battery?

Best regards,

Mike

I've had good luck with the FNB-83XH from Batteries America.  It's 7.2v@2500mA.

I only purchase replacement batteries from trusted dealers. As mentioned last message, Batteries America is a dealer from whom I have received excellent products and service.

Personally, I use a couple of FBA-25 AA battery trays, and populate 'em with Maha 2700mAH AA NiMH cells. I'll achieve about 750 complete discharge-charge cycles from them - at about twice the capacity of the stuck NiMH packs. I also use a Maha intelligent charger.

I am amused at the proclamation by Sanyo that their eneloop AA NiMH cells can be charged “1500” times - which is contrary to most scientific literature regarding the capabilities of consumer-grade NiMH cells. (A little discrepancy between the scientific community and marketing people, I guess ... )
