Has anyone figured out the connection between the DB9 to USB connections for PC's with RS232 cards?  Airlink 101 is apparently discontinued... thoughts?

Maybe its just me (only had one cup of java so far and lunch is still a couple hours off Smiley ), but I'm not sure your question is clear enough to make any suggestions. Are you asking how to go from RS232 to USB to connect an USB-capable radio? Or how to go from USB port on a PC to RS232 on radio to interface via DB-9?

If you can, please clarify the original question?

Do you mean for PCs WITHOUT serial cards?  Just about any USB/serial converter cable should work.

Not actually 100% true. From previous posts, I have noticed many have had problems with some of the Prolific chipset based adapters in Win7 and possibly earlier Win versions. For actual info, if anyone is interested, I would recommend searching through old postings on eHAM and QRZ to spot the trends of problematic adapters and ensure I avoided those types to increase the probability of success using USB to serial adapters, if indeed that is the question being asked here.

I'm still unclear as I stated earlier.
