I was looking thru the list of auto populated text in macros on FLdigi ( such as <NAME> <QTH> etc) and saw one for weather <WX> but when I put that in, it brings up the current weather for Huntsville, AL (about 300 miles from me).  The next one shows <WXxxxx> (weather for station)  I thought that "xxxx" would be the ID for an airport, so I entered "ktys" (Knoxville, TN) but it doesn't bring anything up.  Is there a way to use this to bring up the local weather?  Just wanted to use this if someone asked, "What's your weather like?"  I could give a current obs instead of "hot and humid."  Or if they were a pilot or involved in weather, I could send  "KTYS 081753Z 22006KT 10SM FEW060 34/21 A3001"   Grin  Grin

You have to configure the <WX> macro under the MISC tab:

http://www.w1hkj.com/FldigiHelp-3.22/ConfigMisc.html

Also, note the METAR station macro requires a colon (Smiley between WX and the station callsign: <WX:KASE>

Eric,

The WX Macro in FLdigi is good.
I do use it but I run a program called Weather watcher Live which has more configurable TAGS.
The one I have is the Free version. I have the program configured to export the HTML File to a text file.
Then with single Macro click, it copies the text info to the TX Window. The WX info is continuously updated so the file is always current. Also it uses the same METAR info as does the FLdigi one. I wanted to send you an Email on this but QRZ has none for you. If interested let me know.
