I have a chance to get a Yasue FT 990 for a good price. I downloaded the user manual for more information on operating it and see that in order to use a non-Yasue amplifier with it you cant use the usual RCA connector type of cable, but instead have to use a specific connector to the "remote" DIN jack. Is that correct, and if so, are they readily available? Thanks

It's a common 8-pin DIN plug, and the woods are full of 'em.  Mouser has them for $.74 each - you'll probably pay three times that just for shipping.

If there's a decent electronic component distributor in South Bend, you might try there.

If you don't want to solder those things, LDG makes a break out box to RCA which makes life easier if at a cost
