Hello all,

Recently my IC 718 has begun to delay for a second or two after PPT has begun.
This occurs in all bands with the exception of 40 meters. This band is intermittent with this problem. Have adjusted the rig settings with no improvement. Problem is present with the tuner in tuned or in bypass setting. The condition exist in CW and Digital modes. Have a single band vertical and an all band vertical antenna. Any 718 users with similar issues?

Try on dummy load and see if you have same problem. If not you have a bad connection at antenna or a feedline.
Remove all tuners for the above testing.

Is it possible that you accidentally have the VOX switched in?

My 718 start doing some strange things, I did a factory reset and all was good, of course you will lose any programming but this is what Icom is going to tell you to do.
