I am interested in a good 2 meter/440 amplifier (Not Mirage). Would appreciate any recommendations.

Offhand, I can't think of any other than the Mirage.

Maybe something made in Europe or Japan...?

Your options for new equipment are limited as has already been pointed out.  In the used market, you might look for amplifiers made by RF Concepts (out of business) and Tokyo Hy-Power (in business still, but few products for 2m/440 in the US).

What model TE model number?  That page linked has amps for 2m and for 70cm, but it doesn't seem to show any that are both in one amp.

N7GCO, I am just curious, Why not the Marage amps? I do not have one,but they seem to be an excellent buy for the money available in many power levels and modes. I am asking because I am considering one for my HT and wounder what there problem is. They have been around for a long time. I know they are manufactured by MFJ and a lot of hams have had a problem with them. I have many of there products and have never encountered a problem.

RF Concepts made a dual band one: http://www.eham.net/classifieds/detail/339994

Would be my choice if one could be found used Smiley
