You are on the East Coast... Just work them already.

Nice pic of you and your crotch rocket.

Thanks! That's my 07 zx-10, i got it in 07 to replace my 99 zx-9 thats off camera that i got in 99. Also off camera is my first street bike, a 72 cb 450, which i got in 94. I drove it around at 14, all over california. It was a fun bike. That lasted a few years and i went to race type bikes.

The question I have for you Ben is how you managed to get permission to put up a Tri-bander up on the roof of your apartment complex? Do you own the complex, or just good pals with the manager?  Grin Nice station BTW.

John K7KB

It's my girlfriends condo complex. She wanted me to move in and I said I would if I could have my antennas and 220v run in there. She ran for the HOA board, got elected, approved my antenna, and had the 2nd bedroom run with 220v. So there I am! I will be replacing the TH5-DX with a Steppir DB18 soon for 12/17/30/40.

It's going well thus far. She enjoys having a 24/7 bug killer / reach high stuff person.

That's what I was thinking as well Grin It reminds me of when I asked my wife if I could buy a US Tower TX-472 and 3-element SteppIR. She told me "Whatever makes you happy sweetie." She is very understanding when it comes to our expensive hobby Smiley

Well, so far, this one has been the proverbial "thorn in my side" or "pin in my coax" hi.

I finally worked TT8TT on 30m awhile ago, but, yep, you guessed it..... NOT IN LOG Roll Eyes.  I am positive it was a good contact. He repeated my call twice and I repeated it back to him again, as QRM was pretty heavy.

I sent an email to the pilot, so we will see what happens.  Tonite is the first time I have heard them well enough to give it a try.

TT8TT must be bored...

They are calling CQ on 40m CW.
Been calling CW for about 10 minutes.
Took ONE CALL to get thru.

Same thing on 40m phone
One call and BINGO !

Who's Chad???...LOL.. Grin....Nice to work TT after all of these years.....good copy on 20 meters last night with hardly a bit of mayhem to complain about. Even though 20 is where I got TT8JWM back in 98, it's still nice to get them again....may try another band...may not...Depends on time, conditions and how willing I am to kill myself trying....afterwards, went off and said hello to Bob VP8LP for extra gravy.....If only that damn geomagnetic crap will just stay quiet!......

It took a while to get an opening where I could hear them and the QRM wasn't ridiculous.
Finally got 'em last nite after watching for a signal almost all day.  This was a tougher one for me with a lot of local noise.  This was icing on the cake after working the Vk9 in the AM, another weak signal seemingly always outside of our propagation.

Got them on 15 SSB as well today around 2200Z.  Not really loud but good enough and they seem to hear well. Took around 10 minutes of calling to be in the log.  That was a new 15m country, and a new SSB country, although I never applied for a phone DXCC.  Sure would like to get them on RTTY or another band or 2.  Have TT8ZZ confirmed on 12 and 10 from 2002.

You know, if it were not for my single entry in their log (which I keep checking to make sure I wasn't dreaming) I would think Chad was unobtainium. I am sure it didn't help that I was in a Configuring and Troubleshooting Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Domain Services class all last week (9-5).

I still need a CW contact.
