Solder-only, but I use the PP size that's intended for the wire gauge of the cable I'm terminating. Never had a wire break due to it being stiff from the solder. Soldering also allows you to re-use the power pole. Yes, you can remove the metal terminal from the plastic housing in a non-destructive manner, even when it has been properly "snapped" into position.
