There's a lot of good material on the Heil website about setting up transmit EQ. The PR-781 is, I think, a PR-40 with reduced low-frequency response, and it has excellent reviews on this site, used with a bunch of different rigs.
The FT-950 has a 3-band parametric transmit EQ, so you can make the mic sound however you want. Start with:

It's _your_ voice, and you'll need your own receiver, or a trusted ham at the other end of a QSO, to get the sound right _for you_.
