Fall QSO Party this weekend

Anyone playing? I'm gonna make some time to get my K1 out there for a peanut whistle competition. Sorta new to the QRP game but love contesting. I hear this is one of the most popular. Is it?

I didn't know about it--I've only been playing with QRP for a few months.  But it does sound like fun!

The Adventure Radio Societies' "Flight of the Bumblebees" (also a QRP
event) at times has attracted a comparable (and in some years, greater)
number of participants.

Yep! I'll be on 40  with a "Splinter" at a whopping 445 milli-watts output into a couple of multi-element fixed Delta loops. I haven't contested in years now but will give an effort this weekend.

Will be running the FT-817ND with AH-703 mini-vertical. Maybe a wire, but keeping it simple.

I had to Google just what a "Splinter" was!  That thing looks AWESOME!!!  How's the RX??  Better than a Pixie, I hope?

John I like the "Splinter's" receiver.....actually quite  sensitive and tunes decently.
