I'm just now getting my ham shack setup (new to the hobby) and I bought a used TS-570D. It seems to work fine, but when I'm setting it up for CW its quiet.

All the other modes (LSB, USB, etc.) give me static, CW doesn't. It transmits fine because I can hear it on my receiver.

I can hear my own keying, but I can't hear anything else. I've adjusted the SQL, etc.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks

Is there a menu selection for a CW filter?  If so, and you don't have an (optional) CW filter but that filter is "selected" by the menu, you won't hear anything...

That did the trick. Thank you so much! Nothing I could see in the manual about it. I just found the filter button and begin making adjustments and got it.

thanks again.
