Does anyone have experience with or knowledge about, running a SPE  1k- fa solid state amp.  IE: "cat" controlled with a Kenwood TS 940?   I have installed a Piexx board in one of my 940's for my logging software and it works perfect.  How about running this type of amp with an older rig?  I have read the manual on the 1k-Fa , I know it will "work", however I care about fully automatic control of bands and ALC / Power.  Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.   Thank you.

I haven't had a TS-940S since 1989, but the ALC should work fine with the SPE amp, and the bandswitching should also.
