Fabulous condx on 10m last CQ WW SSB

10m was inactive or barely active the last many years of CQ WW. This time the band was full, with activities spilling past 29 MHz. Open till fairly end. Despite sunspots of only about 70. With my modest station I worked > 120 countries. However, QRP did not work. I tried 12W KX3 for a change, and little luck. Pretty much KW + a beam conditions.

Will it be better still next year, or next month in CQ WW CW?

I estimate about half my contacts in the contest were on 10 meters, the other half was 15.
During the short evening opening into Asia I got 13 Japanese stations which is very good for my little antenna and 100 watts.

If true, incredible conditions on 10 meters.
I was listening in a r390a and stations had calling up to 28.895.
Not change the MHz, but and no doubt there had also calling stations in 29 MHz, the conditions were spectacular, also on 15 meters.

Awesome conditions - about as good as it gets. 

Our club station  with a hexxbeam and 400w made 731 Q's, 396 mults, and totaled 777.744 points in the contest with 4 ops and one xmtr.

256 Q's were on 10M alaone.

Indeed!
I usually operate contests QRO. But my AL80A
went down two months ago and I haven't got it
repaired yet. This was my first SSB contest operating
only 100 watts (into a roof mounted multiband vertical)
since I was a Tech. Though it took more calls, I
was quite surprised at the number of good DX I
was able to work.

A WHOLE bunch o' FUN! 
(Uh, except for the typical "Adam Henrys" who
throw out their calls helter skelter. I.E. the DX
says "Ending Tango Kilo only please" and guys
ending "Romeo Delta" come back. Eww, bad form!
