Alpha 77 DX/SX

Has anyone replaced the original Alpha 77 DX/SX transformer with the Peter Dahl A77S-1 (1800/3200 vac) and/or A77S-3 (1800/3000 vac) transformer(s)?  If so, did you encounter any problems?

Thanks.  Dick advised against that transformer - too many modifications required to accommodate the increased voltage.  That's the reason that I am looking for information on the other ones.

Thanks for that information.  I remember when the the ETO Alpha 70 and 77 amplifiers were new !
There was a commercial version of these amplifiers mfg. for low VHF-TV (2-6) translators in late 1960s / early 1970s.  I had a chance to buy (cheap) one of those as surplus 35 years ago, lost opportunity.

Did Dick make any comments about the S-1 or S-3 replacement models?

Dick never mentioned the other 2 transformers.  He just said that he didn't want to get involved with the A77S-4.
