I got them on 12m SSB this morning.  They were not busy and only working a fixed split (up 5).  It was nothing like PT0S.  Perhaps all the big guns are still in the WW contest Grin

Worked them on 12m SSB as well for a new band country.  No pile at all for them.  Also got EL2A today on 10m in the contest for a new band country. That is 4 new band countries in 5 days, guess that kind of makes up for missing PT0S on CW.  Now to get 5T on RTTY!

WOW, the op running 15 meters stopped to request QRP stations and up 1 for those with limited RIT. How nice! (from my purely objective point of view.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin) 7P isn't new and I actually worked these guys on 12 yesterday, but it was a nice gesture, so, thank you 7P8D team!!!!!

Got them on 15 running the HW-9.

Dirt-easy on 15 and 20 CW this afternoon. Q's made for fun, as they were begging at the time. Shoulda tried QRP just for hoots and giggles. Maybe next band-slot.

EDIT: OK, maybe the bandslot AFTER this one! Just bagged 'em on 80 CW. No pileup, but condx were very rough. Deep QSB and low signals, but they're in the log. Thanks to Big Al, too!

From the Texas DX Society Reflector:

Guys

Frosty sent me a text message as follows:

7P8D internet connection is DOWN

They will be on 160 and 80 tonight on both bands

You can forward this to all reflectors.....I am not on NARS or BVARC

I was going to send for some band fills via airmail but these guys have done a great job and when their expedition was announced it said they will be using LoTW so with 5 bands worked and 2 modes I will just make a contribution and wait for LoTW.

Another expedition doing a real good job is 5T0SP.  I have cards with 5 bands confirmed by Jean, 5T0JL, but if this current expedition uses LoTW it will make things so much easier. I worked them on 40 meter phone Monday night for either my 5th or 6th band.

The Italian team who has given us many African countries will be heading to Burkina Faso (XT) in 2013.  I only have XT worked and confirmed on one band so a big operation to that country will be very helpful.

It seems like this was a very good year for African countries and it should continue into 2013 and 2014. That's a Westerly path for most of us in the US so the conditions don't effect it as much as a polar path.

With my rinky-dinky inverted V I heard T6LG on 40 meter CW tonight. He was a better copy on my Bencher Skyhawk. 3 S-units weaker but the noise level goes virtually to nil on that antenna.  I'm afraid my transmit signal goes to nil also, so I transmit on the Vee and listen on the Skyhawk. I only stuck around for 10 minutes and when I didn't break the pileup I called it quits.

5X and 9U will also be on in early 2013.  Have 9U worked on both SSB and CW on 10m only, so hope to get quite a few band fills.  Have 5X on a 20 and 15 but would like them on a few more also.  Need both on RTTY.

Yes, that is the gang and it should be very easy for you.

Take a look at this site if you haven't already found it.  There is a way to subscribe to all the upcoming Dxpeditions. After I receive the Email I transfer the info to a calendar if it's something I need.

Gene, I worked 5X1NH on November 29th. I don't have my notes in front of me but he may still be in country.

I worked 5X1NH on 11/26, 15m RTTY. Waiting for a confirmation. LoTW says his last upload was yesterday.

In today's newsletter, Bernie passed on some info. This is his last week in Fort Portal. He's hoping to work some 80/160, and he may be in the ARRL 10m contest.
