Dear All commenting in this topic,

I am Chris, webmaster/pilot of PT0S.

I would like to thank you for your comments in this forum.
Unfortunately, due to the limited internet access on the rocks, the team will not be able to read this forum while they are there; your positive comments would surely give them encouragement. Therefore I am going to send some of your kind words to the team as part of my next email summary.

As for negative comments - although a few of these were not worded in a style one would like in a club of gentlemen - are also important as they help operators understand what the other end of the pileups experience, and - if possible - try to adjust their operaration to please the audience.  Therefore, throughout the expedition I have also forwarded most negative comments and various request to them as well. As far as I hear myself, and as far as they told me, the team took these comments seriously.

Therefore I would like to thank ALL of you who have given us feedback, either positive or negative, directly or indirectly. Your comments were much appreciated.

They are even accepting the catcalls with grace and class.

Steve, please accept my apologies but I've been living in a cave too long.  What is a "catcall"?  I love that terminology and I might use it from time to time.

Hey, Randy,

Cats hiss, howl, and snarl at each other, or at any person or animal they have a disagreement with.

Here's one dictionary definition:
Quote from: Merriam-Webster Online
1: a loud or raucous cry made especially to express disapproval (as at a sports event)
2: a derisive remark : criticism

Examples:
The pitcher heard angry catcalls as he walked off the field.
The band's sloppy playing produced only catcalls from the crowd.

73, -WX2S.

P.S. Thought I'd snagged PT0S solid a few days ago, but maybe not. Haven't seen my call show up at all, on their search page or LotW. Sad

I'm new to DXing and this was a fun contact.
I only worked them with CW and the OPs were great.

Yep, absolutely. The other day, for 80m cw, i knew that the OP was calling me, but some moron was
putting a carrier at that time. The Op had to send my call atleast 3 times before i could affirmatively
send a confirmation back. He was persistent and much appreciate it.
