I have a yaesue ft2800(2meter) n I wanted to know if it's safe/ok to mount 2 hustler buck busters on top my 2005 Nissan Xterra. Where I want to mount them is beside my light bar(federal signal 3pod vector) using the bolts that mount the lightbar down, the bolts r bout 18"+/- apart. Can any fellow hams help me out? Thank you

Why two antennas?  Are you looking for a directional pattern?  The directional pattern you're going to get with those two antennas is off to the sides instead of toward the front and back.

Use just one antenna--it will be better than running two.

It will work. Fed in-phase the radiation pattern is oval, with 2 dB more gain to the front and the back of the vehicle. The impedance at the radio will be 1/2 that of one antenna so expect a VSWR around 2:1.

By like K1CJS says, why two antennas? One will work well if not better.
