Just want to thank you again for a great experience. Quite the learning experience for me both about my operating, antennas and rigs. As a newbie to DXing it was quite the thrill to work you. I only made 2 contacts but those are priceless.

Hi:
I got an email today from David (EB7DX) the QSL Mgr and he says the website etc should be ready for OQRS today. I took a stab in the dark and did the OQRS via Davids website as he does list ZL9HR as one of the callsigns he manages. Nothing back from David etc as to hold off etc. Time will tell if I jumped the gun...

What is the value in USD of 4 euros ? ZL9HR wants 4 euros for a card via OQRS. I may have to do a traditional card, as I am NOT wealthy. I thought 1 euro is about $ 2.00 USD

Besides my original donation, I paid the 4 euros plus 2 euros donation and the total was $8 US. I didn't know the exchange rate so it was just a guess. Randy

I don't care what the cost is to get a Qsl card from ZL9HR. I gave them a small donation via Pay Pal and also sent them $3.00 with my Qsl to their manager. I want to personally thank which ever operator picked me up using FIVE WATTS out of the MASSIVE MESS OF AN AWFUL PILE-UP on 30 meters. I tip my hat to you folks. FANTASTIC JOB. WELL DONE. Thank you again from the bottom of my ham-heart. Best regards and many 72/73. Don sr. --WA2TPU -- A TRUE 5WATT QRP GREEN STATION.....

Easy way to get through that. Pad down 12dB, lower the RF gain and pick off the loud ones. I'd give body parts to be on that end of a pileup someday.

Yep. I was listening to that thinking, "hmm. I can slice through a phone pileup like that like a hot knife through butter."
I think the Kenwood wasn't all that hot though. Watching the ergonomics of it I am cringing at the thought of using that kind of rig in split operation.

Nah, the Euro has fallen significantly thanks to the debt crisis with Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain etc. They were close to $1.20 earlier this year.
