This is an important message and I did not want it buried in with the others.
The subject says it all. Instead of going QRT at 1000 UTC on December 2, 2012 they will remain on the island.

Surprised they are not on on 40M taking advantage of it . . . . I am sure the guy moving around and working simplex on 30M CW is a pirate - or their rig has a flaky VFO - hi hi
the guy spotted on 10.125 is probably the real McCoy - the guy on "pick you own frequency" at 10.134 is probably a pirate.
I could be wrong - but WFWL. . . . and check the log tomorrow - hi hi

VERY surprised to hear them on 20 right now... Good news about the extended stay maybe this will set a precedent for the remainder of the trip I feel like I'm getting clobbered though in the NE

Thanks Chris, I thought there might be a pirate on when I heard them at 1316z. Randy

Clobbered. This is yet another mother of pile. This Am, 30m - All 3 viz NA/EU/JA was heard.
On 20m, both NA and EU has prop early in our AM, EST.
The going is a bit slow on 20m ssb. But i think the op is doing a good job of staying with the caller he wants to pick and discourage steam rolling
I hope the overnight permission will be a routine for every night until they leave. Offers some hope for 80m/160m perhaps.

they finally got on 40M CW and were pounding into the West Coast - like a propagation switch being thrown on. Then killer sigs on 20M - and finally got my first Q - putting me 1 away from Honor Roll.
Good day today. Bad yesterday - hi hi.

I really really hope not as I worked the guy around 10.134. Although thinking about it, it was a little too easy to work him. He had a weak signal, and the signal did sound the same as the one on 10.125.. same strength.. so who knows. I didn't want to work the guy on 10.125 and be in there again.. so I'm just going to wait and see what happens with the log upload and just cross my fingers!

They seem to be sticking to their frequency plans - that's how I know who is the real mCCoy . .

Yep, I think you're right. It's a shame people will do that. I can think of a few creative things I'd like to do to pirates, none pleasant that I can mention on this board.
Back to the drawing board I think

Anyone knows if they will remain on the island every night until the end of the operation?
Thanks, 73 Dragan K0AP

Yes, the question appears unresolved; are they able to stay overnight every night or were the last two nights special exceptions? I haven't read or heard anything one way or another.Today they did seem to go completely QRT on all bands around 1000z but then came back a half hour or so later.
