If you need Clipperton on ANY band or mode - you are going to have some big fun. The team are in very serious high gear. Send them a donation, eh?

This is going to be a mega DX-pedition!

Really...Clipperton for a Mega-DXpedition?

Not to diminish the effort but Clipperton is only about #45 on the various "most wanted" DX lists.

The team has some noble goals -- this would just not be my choice for a big DXpedition.

I only need it on 160M myself - but there are plenty of other DX-ers who may need this for an ATNO.

ALSO - this is a "test run" for the Heard Island DXpedition . . . . .

All of the same planning and logistics put into TX5K will be applied to VK0/H . . . . in fact - these two DX-peds are actually a "package deal" . . .

Although I don't need Clipperton for a ATNO, I do need them on several bands for band fills so I'm looking forward to the DX'pedition myself. I'm sure they will be new ones for quite a few stations and I hope they have a very successful expedition!

That's what I like about my LoTW DXCC total CW trailing Phone by about 75 entities. 146 vs 222

Agreed....... after all, there was just a large expedition there 4 years ago(TX5C). They logged over 70,000 QSOs in 7 days or so.

(for an interesting read about life on TX5C, check out this: http://www.k6sgh.com/tx5c/tx5c.htm )

I am CERTAIN the TX5K ops will be very BORED and begging for QSOS before they leave Clipperton.

My DXCC totals are almost the exact opposite, 217 on CW, 143 on phone, and 118 on digital!  I only have Clipperton on 20 CW.
