Do you really need a map to know where Wales, England, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Ulster and Scotland are? Or their  various prefixes?:

Be hard to put them all on a map.

1st character:

M3, M6 for Foundation Licence

2 for Intermediate Licence

G or M (except M3, M6) for Full Licence

2nd character:

England: E for Intermediate, nothing for Full or Foundation, X for Club
Isle of Man: D for all except Club, which is T
Northern Ireland: I for all except Club which is N
Jersey: J for all except Club which is H
Guernsey: U for all except Club which is P
Wales: W for all except Club, which is C

So GJ3 would be a full Licence for someone in Jersey: a GC3 would be a Welsh Club station. A Scottish Foundation Licence would be MM3 or MM6

But remember that until comparatively recently, GC was Channel Islands

See the RSGB Year Book for info.
