The only piece of amateur equipment I saw during my 26 years in a navy uniform was an AEA PK-232 that a SIGINT/COMINT unit had back around 1991!

About ten years ago while I was a contractor I saw some MFJ SWR/Power meters integrated into a portable system for the army.
