Radom paint

  My 30 yrs old Diamond base antenna has the 8' fiberglass mast.  The paint has been burned right off it.   Any suggestions on a good paint.  I don't want to change the electrical properties of the antenna.

Unless it's conductive (like lead-based or metal flake), paint will not have a measurable impact on the electrical performance.  So just go to the Lowe's or Home Depot paint department and ask for something rugged for an outdoor fiberglass application.

   Rustoleum enamel either liquid or spray,it's what we use for fiberglass boat repairs and will hold up to wx and sun.

What burned the paint off of the radome? 

What do the internal elements look like after the paint got burned off? 

Does the antenna still work as it should at this point?

  30 yrs of sun, wind, ice has taken the finish off.   I'll have to climb up there to check the integrity of the fiberglass.

   Unless the original finish is completely gone and you can see only the white prefinish gel coat,you may be looking only at 30 yrs, of surface oxidation buildup which can be removed and original color mostly restored.Like you said,youwill have to get up there to check it out.
    If it is down to the gel coat,check to make sure that there is no underlaying 6 oz. cloth weave exposed.any small  areas of exposed fg cloth can be LIGHTLY sanded blown clean and covered with a couple thin layers  of ordinary auto body bondo(lightly sanded in between)then repainted and your good to go for another 30 years.
