Good Day to all, I am finally getting around to work the digital modes. I have built a interfaceand now have to made a hook up cable. I see by looking at the TS-40S manual that there is inputs and outputs for AFSk on the rear panel. A a second connector for remote PTT. My question is can I use the AFSK connections for the interface. Looks straight forward, but I want to do this right the first time. Any help will be great operated. Thanks, and a Merry Christmas and Happly New year to All.

If they're for AFSK (or phone patch), that's what you want.

There may be other jacks for FSK -- you _don't_ want to use those.

Yes the AFSK IN and OUT are what you want.  The PTT is on ACC2.  I just use the AFSK in and out and use VOX mode.  Worked many contests and Field day this way with no problems.  Another plus to doing it this way is that you can turn down the volume because the AFSK-out is a steady output. Remember to unplug your microphone if you have one plugged in!  73's
