So far in 2013 I have worked BV1EK (40m RTTY) and VU2NKS (12m RTTY).  Any time you can get zones 22 and 24 in the first week the Marathon is off to a great start.  VU2NKS wasn't real loud but had good print on him and very few were calling him.  That was a new band country on 12m and I still need VU confirmed on RTTY as well.  BV1EK was a new RTTY country, but already have Taiwan confirmed on 40.  Now to get zone 26 in the first month!

How are others doing so far?  I think I am up to 30 countries or so, but haven't been using the cluster and have had a few days so far with no operating due to work.

I also worked VU2NKS on 12m. I clicked the spot and he wasn't too strong, but as I brought the antenna around to LP he really came up, solid prints and only 100W on my end. It's nice to have the SSN higher.

This year, I'm planning to see how many I can work on digital modes. So far, without much effort, I have 69 countries and 25 zones. I picked up many of the usual suspects in the RTTY RU. I was chasing T6MH on JT65 this morning but no luck. That would also be an ATNO.

I really like RTTY (which is why I decided to try digital) and I don't mind JT65 (just a 599-TU in slow motion), but if I'm serious about this I'm afraid I'm going to have to work PSK31. I guess I'll have to hold my nose and venture forth into MacroLand.

Not doing very well here.

68 countries and 23 zones so far.
Most contacts were on the ARRL RTTY Round-Up
last weekend.

One goodie, got Swaziland on 20 phone by accident.
I heard him calling CQ with a HUGE pile-up and figured
"what the heck" I'll give him a try.
Came back to me on second call.
I never worked Swaziland in 2012.

In all of last year, I never heard zones 23, 24 & 26.
Maybe I'll gat lucky this year.
Maybe NOT too !
