TZ6BB - Nice!

Fernando-TZ6BB is doing a great job working the West Coast and beyond.  His signals are so much stronger than 5X8C.  Very curious to know why?

Obviously, I don't know exactly where he is located, nor do I want to for security  reasons, but the very large Niger river runs through Bamako.

I suspect the river may be acting as an excellent reflector of his signals--he does sound like a station in a very good location.

He did mention that he as a beam ready to be put up.  I don't know if the beam is up or not.  But lately all of the African stations are coming in loud, perhaps except Uganda.  I only have one contact with 5X8C.

TZ6BB is also located 2,900 miles closer than 5X8C.  I think that has more to do with the signal strength than Fernanado's signal bouncing off a river.

I would not Fernando's QTH but in a small country like Mali if a few palms are greased his location will not remain a secret if somebody really wants it.

I just worked three bands fills on 17m to Africa within a span of 15min.  TZ, 6W, and ZS.  And I do know that ZS and TZ both use LoTW.  How sweet is that!  Is this the DX week of Africa or what

Congrats on the 4S.  You probably worked the same station (4S7 North South) I worked yesterday on 20m LP.  Every day at 0100z I could hear VU and 4S on 20m LP booming into CO.  You probably don't need VU but if you could hear 4S VU will be easy for you.  Most VU stations are well equipped.

I only wish Pakistan could be on the air as often as the VUs and 4S.  I'm still waiting for the QSL on my one and only contact with AP.

Yep, yesterday 20m ssb about 01:45 utc, LP, which is also about the only time, direction, and band i have worked VU.

That was the first time I have heard Sri Lanka.

AP would be great also (got nothing there)

Still no TZ6!
