Not really. After all, you were able to effect a cure without having to resort to rather expensive test equipments, long troubleshooting sessions, recalibration following the manual in an effort to locate a section that might be misbehaving, signal tracing around feedback loops, investigating processor bootup routines, tracing DC voltage paths, etc. etc. etc.
The electrolytic capacitor problems, by comparison, are actually fairly easy stuff to perform, even by the lesser-experienced.
