Hello folks.

Anyone here have any experience with the NE QRP Group?

I bought and assembled one their NESCAF audio filter.  It worked FB for the first 10 minutes and then it became very noisy, audio distorted, etc as it powered up.  It would appear that the CMOS filter chip is defective as all the voltages check out and I've measured the voltages, checked the P/C board and swapped out the NE-555 and LM-386 chips.

So far, I have been unable to log onto their Yahoo User's Group and e-mails have not been returned.

Hello folks,

I finally got the NESCAF Filter working, and it works exceptionally well.  It just needed a new CMOS filter chip that I got for free as a sample from the company that makes it.

It's now surplus to my needs (bought a used Idiom Press SDCAF-1) so I put it up for sale in the classifieds section, if anyone is interested.  It's mounted in a new aluminum box and comes with a wall wart.

FYI - I've yet to receive any reply from the NE QRP group.  What's with these guys??
