Anyone know the part number of the DC power cable for the IC-290H? Anyone know a source or the part number/source of the connecter so I can buy or fab one?

Thanks

All of Icom's power cables have Molex equivalents, and both Mouser and Newark are stocking Molex distributors. I've never owned a 290, so I can't give you the exact part number. Although they don't make the radio any more, you should be able to purchase a new cable from Icom's parts department. Their telephone number is on their web site.

I have the IC-290A. I was able to get the connector with crimp-on pins from Radio Shack. I just made my own cable for way less than Icom will sell you one. Don't ask the Radio Shack sales drone for help, they will just point out the ready-made CB radio power cords, which of course will not work. Dig through the parts bins until you find the Molex-type connectors.

With a little carving, an IDE hard drive connector will fit the IC-290h.
