Have a Tiny Track 4 and Garmin E-Map. I have the Garmin cable with cig plug and DB9. Can read/write to GPS with "Easy GPS program on PC. The TT does not give me a "Valid GPS" LED. I have the E-Map set to NMEA 4800 and the GPS port on the TT4 set to 4800 as well. Any one have any ideas on why this is not working?

Sounds like the eMap is in Garmin Binary mode.  Check under the Interface options (on the eMap) and see what mode the serial port is in.  It is probably set to "GARMIN".  Look for an option for either "NMEA" or "NMEA IN/OUT".

EDIT:  Sorry. I didn't read your first post close enough.  I see that you have it set to NMEA 4800 baud.  This should be correct.  Do you have the PORTA option on the TT4 set for NMEA?  Do you have any other GPS receivers that you can test the TT4 with?

The other possibility is due to cabling.  TT4 uses a unique DB9 plug - actually 2 serial ports in that one plug.  Make sure you are plugged into the port the TT4 expects to see the gps connected to.  I had to build an adapter harness to connect my Garmin 60CSX and my computer to the same plug, then I had to go into TT4 setup and configure which port was which.
