I was thinking that using the Kenwood VGS-1 voice module would help me keep my eyes on the road and still be able know what the TM-V71A under my dash is doing, but on the one audio demonstration I've heard it sounded terrible.

Hopefully a few folks here can describe their opinion of  the audio that this little chip produces.
I just don't want to shell out the bucks and then be dissapointed with a lousy sounding voice unit.  Thanks very much in advance, & 73.

The audio is very good. I had one fitted to my TS590. You won't have any trouble understanding it.
